"United" States is now the "Divided" States

House Speaker John Boehner plays a monumental role in this extensive government shutdown. What exactly is holding this right-winged conservative republican back from signing a bill to end the shutdown? Well the answer lies within the question. He is a right-winged conservative. The multiple GOP bills being pushed by many conservatives are exactly what the liberal minded democrats are not wanting. To the contrary, republicans are not to excited about the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

The stars of the show are really the moderate republicans and moderate democrats. Several bills have been proposed by these parties, not just as one party proposing opposite bills, but a bipartisanship bill. A bill that should please both parties! Limited pay cuts with a reasonable plan for universal health care sounds sufficient right? Apparently not for the radicals of both parties.

It seems as if America is becoming conceited. Why do politicians argue about things that ultimately do not matter in the end? A decision is a decision. There will be many people upset with the decision you made, but there will also be pleased patrons. Some will even be indifferent. Liberals, Conservatives, Moderates, and even Libertarians all have different ideas about what a perfect government look like.

The concept that every single one of these politicians is missing is that there is no perfect government. Nothing is perfect in this world. The best we can do is to strive to be perfect because thats all we can do. As a society, we believe in the idea of perfection. I believe this is what is making the world of politics array. Until politicians can realize that there is no perfect government, or a bill that can please everybody, then the government will continue to struggle even when the shutdown is over.

Is it not funny how we call ourselves the United States when we can't even come to a compromise-able decision within our own country?
